Technical analysis provided definitive evidence of the image's artificial origin. When submitted to Google's Gemini for review, the image was identified as containing a SynthID watermark, an invisible signal embedded by Google AI tools to signify synthetic content. Furthermore, historical evidence contradicts the context provided by the posters; Friedrich Merz did not join BlackRock until 2016, making his attendance at a 2014 event in that capacity impossible.
